Job Description

Job Summary:
The EchoPark Title Specialist handles the legal transfer of documents for the Department of Motor Vehicles.  This includes verifying all costs with the accounting department, including the costs of reconditioning and additional equipment selected by the purchaser.

Essential Functions –

Assignments -
  • Process all used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled
  • Prepare tax and title documents
  • Submit all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles
  • Check for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete
  • Maintain a system to verify out-of-state titles
  • Compile and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work. Reports to management on the status of any missing or problem titles and provides a current list of outstanding titles to the Office Manager at the end of month
  • Perform physical inventory
  • Stay abreast of title regulations. Attends seminars held by local licensing bureaus and any available training on title regulations
  • Conduct periodic training sessions for Document Specialists and Experience Guides regarding title regulations and procedures, and issue a written memo whenever regulations change
Minimum Qualifications –
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Work habits that are guest-centric and committed to exceeding the guest’s needs
  • Ability to utilize our technology and stay current with our technology training
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test and credit report
  • All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Desired Experience –
  • Two years of experience processing title documents
  • A history of success in a team environment
  • Experience using good problem solving skills, and taking the initiative to think critically to identify improvement opportunities
  • Experience with web-based search applications and tablet technology
