Job Description

Purpose: 
To develop and train the Echo Park and Sonic team on best practices for efficient processes in the titling of new and used automobiles.  

Duties and Responsibilities: 
This position requires excellent written and oral, written and presentation-based communication skills along with strong problem-solving abilities.  Success in the position will require the ability to travel from 50% to 75% of the time to provide training to our associates across all our locations.  

This position must be a subject matter expert in the processes for the following items in the states in which Sonic and Echo Park are operating in:
•         Preparation of tax and title documents.
•         Submission all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
•         Verifies that funds have been collected and the correct lien holders are paid
•         Checking for accuracy in the application and ensuring that all information is complete
•         Maintaining a system to verify out-of-state titles.
•         Compiling and maintaining a complete list of all outstanding title work that that includes a follow up system that allows us to obtain titles as quickly as possible.
•         Reporting to management on the status of any missing or problem titles and provides a current list of outstanding titles to the team at the end of month
•         Signing over titles for all wholesalers who have paid in full.
•         Preparing a monthly report to management of any funds not collected from wholesalers due to missing or incomplete title work
•         Staying abreast of title regulations.
•         Conducting periodic training sessions for managers and sales personnel regarding title regulations and procedures and issues a written memo to managers and all sales personnel whenever regulations change.
•         Developing a knowledge base for our guest facing associates to increase their ability to ask for the correct documents and insure they are signed properly while the guest in our dealership.
 
Successful candidates will be pass a background check, including a motor vehicle record check and a review of their credit report.
